Well Baby Clinic

New parents should be aware that we sponsor a Child Health Clinic located in Waldwick.

The purpose of this service is to provide continuous health supervision for the children of the community from birth to shcool age.  The program is for Allendale residents and is for well children only, as it is preventive.  Children who are ill should be taken to their family physician.

A physician and a registered nurse are in attendance at each clinic, assisted by volunteers.  Ther children are given physical examinations and any immunizations required provided there is no medical insurance coverage.  Development and nutritional assessments are also give.

Appointments are to be made by calling carol Shpard, M.S.R.N.C. at (201) 444-3914.  The clinics are held at the Waldwick Health Center, 22 Whites Lane.

Good Health involves more than the prevention of sidease.  It includes physical, developmental, social and emotional growth, all obviously interdependent and considered in the child's total health picture.
