The Assessor's office is open on a daily basis from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Assessor is availale on :
Tuesdays - 12 noon till 4:00 p.m.
Thursdays - 1:00 p.m. till 4:30 p.m.
Fridays - 9:00 a.m. till 4:30 p.m.
The Tax Assesor is responsible for the listing and assessment of all properties within the municipality. The Tax List is prepared each year and presented to the Bergen County Board of Taxation each January.
All appeals must be filed with the Bergen County Board of Taxation prior to April 1st of each year. Parcels with an assessment in excess of $750,000 may be filied directly with the New Jersey State Tax Court in Trenton. Petitions of appeals may be obtained by calling (201) 336-6300 or by writing to :

Appeals from Added or Omttied must be filed by December 1st with the Bergen County Board of Taxation.
