New Jersey Rabies Vaccination Requirement

By law, the official designated to license dogs shall not issue any license or official metal registration tag without proof that the dog has been inoculated against rabies with a vaccine having a duration of at least 10 to 12 months of the licensing period.

License Information

The Borough of Allendale requires that dogs and cats be licensed.

An updated copy of the rabies vaccination (valid through November 1st of the licensing year) and a check made out to the Borough of Allendale must be presented at registration, in person or by mail beginning January 1st through January 31st.

License Fees

Dogs:

• License and Pilot Fee: $10.00
• Not Spayed Charge: additional $3.00
• Late Charge: additional $5.00
• Replacement Tag Fee: $5.00

Cats:

• License Fee: $8.00
• Not Spayed Charge: additional $3.00
• Additional Cat: $5.00 each

Please be responsible and clean up after your pets. Failure to do so may result in a fine.
