Board of Health
Overview
The Board of Health fosters and protects Allendale’s public health. As authorized by the state of New Jersey, the Board of Health enacts ordinances to govern this obligation. In Allendale, the Board of Health has seven members that serve three-year terms.
Additionally, the Health Department implements the policies and public health recommendations established by the Board of Health. Some responsibilities of this department include animal licensing, food establishment monitoring, as well as vital records keeping.
