BCUA Collection:

The Borough does NOT collect hazardous material. Please note that illegal dumping of hazardous material is prohibited and monitored by surveillance cameras at the dump site. In order to maintain the health and safety of our community, any violators will be prosecuted at the highest extent of the law.

The disposal of this material is conducted by the Bergen County Utilities Authority during Special Events throughout the year at three locations. Safe and free collections are for all Bergen County residents, that being said, proof of residency is required. No materials from businesses will be accepted.


Accepted Items:

Aerosol Cans, Anti-Freeze, Batteries (Vehicle and Re-chargeable), Blacktop Sealers, Bug Spray, Disinfectants, Drain Cleaners, Fertilizer, Fire Extinguishers, Florescent Light Bulbs, Gasoline, Glue, Herbicides, Insecticides, Kerosene, Motor Oil (Used, Lighter Fluid, Mercury Switches, Oil Filters (Used), Paints/Varnishes, Pesticides, Propane Gas Cylinders, Solvents and Thinners, as well as Thermostats and Thermometers.
