Please be advised that Tuesday, October 15, 2019 is the deadline for all new voter registrations for the General Election. The Borough Clerk’s Office will be open to accept voter registrations until 9:00 p.m. Any new registration that is received after the deadline of October 15th will not be timely for the General Election on November 5, 2019.
If you would like to vote by mail, the Mail-In Ballot application must be received by the County Clerk no later than seven days prior to the election if it is mailed or by 3 p.m. on the day prior to the election if the voter appears in person at the County Clerk’s Office. Applications can be obtained at the Borough Clerk’s Office at Borough Hall or at the following link: https://allendalenj.gov/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/vote-mail-ballot-bergen-english.pdf
Please note that, due to a law that was implemented in August 2018, anyone who requested a Vote by Mail Ballot for the 2016 General Election will continue to receive those ballots unless they opt-out. Should you wish to opt-out for future elections, please click here for the required form which should be mailed to the Bergen County Clerk upon completion. If you received a Vote by Mail Ballot for this election and do not to cast it, please be advised that you will not be permitted to vote in the voting machine if you go to your polling location. Instead, you will only be permitted to vote by Provisional Ballot which is a paper ballot that is counted at a later date.
Please be reminded that Districts 2 & 4, previously located at Guardian Angel Church, are now located in Borough Hall as follows:
- DISTRICT 2 – BOROUGH HALL, COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 500 WEST CRESCENT AVENUE
- DISTRICT 4 – BOROUGH HALL, QUILT ROOM, 500 WEST CRESCENT AVENUE
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
