From Bergen County -  Bergen County has officially received the major disaster declaration by the White House, which makes Federal funding available to affected residents and business owners. Assistance can include grants to help pay for temporary housing, emergency home repairs, uninsured and underinsured personal property losses, and medical, dental and funeral expenses caused by the disaster, together with other serious disaster related expenses.

Bergen County residents and business owners who sustained losses in the designated counties can now apply for by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA(3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (local time) seven days a week until further notice.
