Franklin Turnpike Pre-Paving Work - UPDATE Friday, 5/17

UPDATE: May 17, 2024 - 9:00am

Allendale NJ Alerts: Today (5/17/24), the following roadways will be closed to thru traffic for the day:

Franklin Turnpike between Ivers Road and Crescent Avenue Franklin Turnpike between Chestnut Street and Waldwick line

Police traffic control is on site to assist local residents as needed. Detours are posted, however, plan an alternate route to avoid south Franklin Turnpike whenever possible.

Allendale NJ Alerts: Today (5/16/24), the following areas of Franklin Turnpike will be closed to thru traffic for the day:

Franklin Turnpike between Ivers Road and Crescent Avenue Franklin Turnpike between Crescent Avenue and Arlton Avenue

Police traffic control is on site to assist local residents as needed. Detours are posted, however, plan an alternate route to avoid north Franklin Turnpike whenever possible.

 

UPDATE : May 14, 2024 - 8:30am

Today, 5/14/24, the following roadways will be closed to thru traffic for construction:

Franklin Turnpike between Allendale Avenue and Pittis Avenue. Detour is posted. Police traffic control is on site to assist local residents as needed.

*Curb improvements are also underway on Franklin Turnpike near Chestnut Street. Roadway is currently open; traffic is being alternated one lane at a time. Use caution in area and expect delays.

Allendale NJ Alerts: Franklin Turnpike between Chestnut Street and the Waldwick border will be closed to thru traffic today (05/13/24) for roadwork. Detours have been posted and police traffic control is on site to assist local residents.  

NOTICE - POSTED ON: MAY 9, 2024 - 2:39PM

Allendale NJ Alerts: Beginning on Monday morning, May 13, 2024, Bergen County will begin the ADA Curb ramp construction on Franklin Turnpike starting at the Waldwick border to Arlton Avenue. This work is expected to be completed within two weeks so long as the weather allows and barring any unforeseen circumstances. We are anticipating the Road Resurfacing Project for Franklin Turnpike to begin early June. We will disseminate additional information regarding potential detours and road closures as soon as the borough is given an official start date and schedule. We appreciate your cooperation during this time.
