The Borough of Allendale was privileged to receive a steel artifact from the attacks on September 11, 2001. A Committee has been formed to erect a Memorial that will be a respectful to this piece of history. It is intended that the Memorial will be erected through donations from the residents and businesses of Allendale.
The steel artifact measures 192" long, 30" wide, 10" high and weighs 1,875 lbs. The artifact was painstakingly preserved and is one of the few remaining remnants of a site that will be forever etched in the minds of all America. It is the goal of the committee to display the artifact in a respectful manner and provide the public with a greater appreciation of exactly what transpired on that fateful day. Also, it is intended to educate our younger generations, many of whom were not born on 9/11.
The Memorial will be a lasting tribute to our friends and relatives as well as first responders who lost their lives that day. The Allendale 9/11 Steel Memorial will represent a crucial piece of history for future generations. The Memorial will be a place of quiet reflection to remember those lost and the impact of the terrorists attack on our way of life.
The Allendale 9/11 Steel Memorial committee has already met on several occasions and preliminary designs have been reviewed. It is our goal to try to dedicate the Steel Memorial on September 11, 2013.
We ask your help to make this a reality. Donations will be accepted immediately. Please make checks payable to the "Borough of Allendale" and in the memo section "WTC Steel Memorial". All donations are tax deductible.
If you have and questions feel free to contact Mayor Vince Barra at email@example.com. or Councilwoman Amy Wilczynski at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Phase 1 Water Restrictions in Effect
The demand for water in the entire region is heavy during the spring, summer and early fall. Allendale's water supply comes not only from Borough wells, but also from United Water per agreement, supplying an average of 55% of our water. Daily usage must be reduced for safe preservation of our water supply. Please cooperate in this community effort. Neighboring municipalities in our area and United Water are also experiencing high demands on their water supply.
Monday is a system recharge day. No Watering Permitted
Hand-held hose and watering can sprinkling is permitted at all times. Use of water for other household purposes is not restricted.
ATTENTION: WATERING RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT IMMEDIATELY - MAY 13, 2013
