Important Information from the Tax Collector

For the first time, this property tax bill shows a separate line item showing the minimum required appropriation for the Lee Memorial Library as a separate tax levy pursuant to a recently enacted State law (P.L.2011,c.38).  The municipal tax levy was reduced by the same amount as the new library tax levy.  This change does not result in a property tax increase and is to help you better understand the costs of the library services reflected in your tax bill.

Phase 1 Water Restrictions in Effect

The demand for water in the entire region is heavy during the spring, summer and early fall.  Allendale's water supply comes not only from Borough wells, but also from United Water per agreement, supplying an average of 55% of our water.  Daily usage must be reduced for safe preservation of our water supply.  Please cooperate in this community effort.  Neighboring municipalities in our area and United Water are also experiencing high demands on their water supply.

Lawn and Garden Watering with both Automatic and Hose Spinklers is Limited to:

Odd House Numbers:  Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
Even House Numbers: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Monday is a system recharge day.  No Watering Permitted

Hand-held hose and watering can sprinkling is permitted at all times.  Use of water for other household purposes is not restricted.
