Allendale Water Department Facilities:

The Allendale Water Department Facilities consists of five wells.  Wells 11 and 17 are capable of producing up to 500,000 gallons per day (GPD); wells 2, 4, and 15 are capable of producing 450,000 GPD.  All wells are treated with chlorine solution to conform to the NJDEP standards.  The New Street treatment facility provides year-round treatment for wells 2, 4 and 15, using diffused bubbling aeration and chlorination.  The average daily demand of the water system is approximately 850,000 GPD with a peak of 2,000,000 GPD. (Allendale has Bulk water Purchase Agreement with Suez for additional water source) Additionally, Allendale has two water storage tanks, a 1,000,000-gallon ground storage tank with a booster pump and a 400,000-gallon elevated storage tank located in Ramsey.
