NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough of Allendale (Borough) will receive sealed Bids on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time in the Council Chambers Conference Room at the Borough of Allendale Municipal Building, 500 West Crescent Avenue, Allendale New Jersey 07401 and then publicly opened and read for:

Renovation To Memorial Park Walkway Phase 1

Project Description:  The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials and means required to construct various improvements as depicted in the Contract Documents for the Project.  The principal Items of Work, include but are not limited to:

Obtaining Bid Document: Copies of Bid Documents, prepared by Van Cleef Engineering Associates LLC and approved by the Borough, may be examined and obtained in person Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Office of the Municipal Clerk within Allendale’s Municipal Building, 500 W. Crescent Ave Allendale, New Jersey 07401, or electronically by submitting requests to lindacervino@allendalenj.gov. Requests to include company name, address, phone number, email and contact person.

Submission of Bid: Each Bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a Surety/Bonding Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, a Certified Check, or Cashier’s Check in the amount of ten (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00 to insure signing of the contract.

Bidder shall submit with a bid a Certificate of Surety from a Surety Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, pursuant to Federal and/or State law as a Surety, stating that it will provide the Contractor with a Performance Bond of the total bid price.

Bids are to be delivered no later than the prevailing time indicated above.  The delivery or non-delivery of the Bid is the sole responsibility of the Bidder.  The Borough will not be responsible for late postal delivery or late delivery of courier service.  No Bids shall be accepted by the Borough after the above designated date and time.

The Bid package must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Borough of Allendale, 500 West Crescent Avenue, Allendale, NJ 07401, Attn: Linda Cervino, RMC bearing the name and address of the bidder written on the face of the envelope, and clearly marked “Bid and Title”.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. (Affirmative Action); P.L. 1963, c. 150 (Prevailing Wage).

The Successful Bidder will be required to submit Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds.

The Successful Bidder will be required to comply with all the provisions of Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor.

The proposed project is being partially funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation's Local Aid Program.

The Borough reserves the right to waive minor defects and informalities in any Bid and to reject any and all Bids, or to accept Bids that are, in the opinion of the Borough, in the best interest of the Borough.
