Turner House Presentation

The Borough of Allendale is pursuing the acquisition of 274 West Allendale Avenue, known as the Turner House property, with plans to transform it into a passive park that connects two existing recreational areas. This initiative aims to mitigate flooding, preserve valuable open space, and enhance the community’s natural environment. Future plans envision native plantings, butterfly and rain gardens, accessible walking paths, and educational opportunities for residents of all ages. The project reflects the Borough’s commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and preserving green space for future generations.
