Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) Recycling Events

The BCUA is sponsoring tire recycling, e-recycling, and paper shredding events in Bergen County at Bergen Community College, Bergen County Utilities Authority, and Campgaw Mountain Reservation.  See below for more details regarding the collection.

BCUA Tires/Electronics/Mobile Paper Shredding Collection Schedule for 2025:

Bergen County Campgaw Reservation, 200 Campgaw Rd., Mahwah

• Saturday, June 14, 2025
• Sunday, October 5, 2025

Document shredding, electronics and tire recycling event collection hours are 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (rain or shine)

Collected Items:

Shredded paper: recycle your unwanted, confidential documents by safely shredding them. Limit of 4 bags/boxes (weighing no more than 10lbs each). Observe materials can be shredded on site.

• Electronics and Computers: bring us fax machines, computers, televisions, modems, and much more. Recycle one byte at a time!
• Tires: limited to 4 tires per person, per delivery. Tires with or without rims will be accepted.
